Indexed pages are the pages of your website that search engines have ‘crawled’ and stored in their database. If you delete these pages from your website, it can take a long time for the search engines to remove them from their database. Ideally, if you need to delete a page, a 301 Redirect will take the user to a different page on your site so they don’t see an error page (404 Page Not Found).
